NEW KID ON THE BLOCK - Kuper Moulders infiltrate UK Market
A big name in Germany where the company have a long standing reputation as major woodworking manufacturers but not so well known in the UK - yet!
Thanks to the efforts of sole UK and Ireland distributors Daltons however Kuper are slowly emerging to challenge the established premier European Planer/Moulder manufacturers and according to Daltons Sales Director Andy Walsh, the brand is likely also to stand up to the increasing competition from the plethora of manufacturers in the Far East and of course China in particular.

Kuper SWT23XLS Planer Moulder available from sole UK
distributor Daltons
German built to German standards and equipped with the latest ‘state of the art’ electronic controls and programming systems, these heavily made Moulders are starting to make an impact which according to Andy can only increase as the “superb quality of engineering and versatility of application becomes better known”. The machines incorporate a range embracing machines from 4 to 12 heads and working widths from 240 to 320 mm, including the option of full jointing and feed speeds up to 120 m/min and coupled with a ‘serious but affordable’ price list Daltons feel they have a formula to appeal to prospective customers both large and small.
Daltons have put the machines into family owned joinery businesses, national
and internationally renowned manufacturers and timber supply companies,
but this
is just the start.
Daltons have considerable experience and expertise in this area through their previous close association with Wadkin Moulders and their engineering activities going back generations in the specialist rebuilding and servicing of this type of machine. Director Andy Walsh is keen to stress that the Kuper brand should be introduced anywhere within the UK and Ireland where the purchase of Planer/Moulders is being considered. They may not yet be in the top 2 or 3 but Kuper are a very large company with some thousand employees and a worldwide marketing network and Daltons feel that they have all the backing and technical support they need to be able to promote the Planer/Moulders with total confidence.
A Kuper SWTXL6 six-head model is currently on display in their Nottingham
showrooms and the marque will be featured strongly by Daltons on their stand
at the forthcoming W8 exhibition at
the NEC.
Andy says “Compare the prices but compare the build quality, the technical programming ability and the specifications also!”.
